Ghost Rider Marks Strong Wolfcamp Performance

Ghost Rider Marks Strong Wolfcamp Performance

Acoma Energy’s evaluation of the Wolfcamp shale in central Eddy County, New Mexico, has produced encouraging results. The company’s first two-mile lateral well—nicknamed “Ghost Rider” and operated by Mewbourne Oil Company—came online in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The well has delivered steady production of approximately 1,100 barrels per day, signaling strong reservoir quality and validating Acoma’s completion strategy, which utilizes high proppant volumes and tight stage spacing.

Ghost Rider is serving as a cornerstone data point for ongoing evaluations and future development plans in the region.
